●• We have covered frequency tables, stem and leaf plots, line, bar, and circle graphs and will cover mean, median and mode next week.
●• Test over these concepts THURSDAY

Reading:
●• We are on to Ch. 9 in Hatchet
●• Will quiz or have assignment over Ch. 7-11 next week

Religion:
●• Discussing Advent Season
Preparing our hearts for the birth of Jesus Christ!
●• Prayer for December is the Guardian Angel Prayer

Vocab/Spelling:
●• Unit 10 – last vocab test of 2009

English:
●• Writing- We have moved on to descriptive writing. Students will write a descriptive essay on someone he/she admires.
●• Grammar- Identifying predicate nouns; Linking verbs

Social Studies:
●• Explorers Come to the Americas
We are learning about explorers from Portugal, Spain, France, and England.
We’ll make an explorer book next week!
●• I have encouraged students to read over their notes each week (even each night)! This will help them come test time – they will already have much retained and will not have to cram!

Science:
●• Had a blast with the cow eye dissection! If your student has not already told you about it, please ask them!
