Multiple choice portion of ISTEP begins Tuesday, April 27th!
Schedule: Tuesday (Math) 10:45-11:20 and 11:30-12:00
Wednesday (Language Arts) 8:30-9:15 and 9:25-10:10
Thursday (Social Studies) 10:50-11:25 and 11:30-12:00

Please, go to bed by 9:00!
Eat a healthy breakfast!
Be confident!
You’re going to do well!

Math:
●• We will be writing and illustrating a creative story that teaches a concept they have learned in Math this year.

Reading:
●• We have read 6 chapters in our novel, Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor. We will quiz over 4-6 on Monday or Tuesday.

Religion:
●• We discussed the meaning of the lines in the Prayer of St. Francis. We will watch a movie on St. Francis next week.
●• April Prayer:
Prayer of St. Francis

Vocab/Spelling:
●• No vocab this week (ISTEP)

English:
●• We continue with demonstrative pronouns
●• We will be writing letters back to our pen pals in Kenya.
The kids are loving this experience, and the letters from our Kenya friends are so neat to read!

Social Studies:
●• We are finishing the Revolution and
●• Next week, we will begin a cooperative learning activity. Students will work in pairs to research an individual from the Revolutionary War (Patriot or Loyalist) and will create and present an interview as that person.
●• States and Capitals Test next FRIDAY – only a few more students need to pass – you can do it!! Study hard!

Science:
●• Students tested over rocks, minerals, and the Earth’s layers yesterday.
Moving on to Chemistry – beginning with states of matter.

*Today we had Governor Mitch Daniels and the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Roy LaHood, speak to us. What an honor! Pictures are on our class blog.

*Walk-a-thon collection containers will go home on the 30th!

*Progress reports go home on Wednesday
